Too Close for Comfort

A Romantic Thriller

About

Silver Falls is a safe and tight-knit college town. However, when a beloved Silver Falls University (SFU) sorority sweetheart is found dead in her home, whispers of the town's dark history resurface. Could the Silver Falls Slasher, a serial killer from decades ago, be back? Or is this a copycat?

Lexi, a senior at SFU, finds herself engulfed in what feels like a bad dream. Between her toxic relationship, working two jobs, and managing grief after losing a close family friend, she feels as though life could not get any more complicated. However, her life turns into a waking nightmare as the murders continue and the victims all look like her. She does her best to fly under the radar, all while wondering if she will be able to survive until graduation.

Wes, a lifelong resident of Silver Falls and a graduate student at SFU, finds himself stuck in a mirage of chaos. He is in an awful relationship, hasn't started his Master’s thesis, and is wrestling with the grief from just losing his mom. With graduation creeping up, he feels like his life is spiraling out of control. His best friend, Lexi, is the only stability and light in his darkened world. With the reality that Lexi may be the next victim, Wes will stop at nothing to make sure he doesn't lose another person he loves.

As everyone around them begins to feel like a suspect, Lexi and Wes find their relationships with themselves and others challenged. With the illusion of a safe small town shattered, life in Silver Falls will never be the same for them. Lexi and Wes must lean into their trust for each other in order to survive, especially as the murders get a little too close for comfort.
